Issue
Authentication Manager Appliance 250 with Intel hardware
The customer cannot find the SNMP MIB on the RSA Appliance
Cause
Setup > System Settings > Network Monitoring (SNMP) ,
Select the Primary > Next ,
Scroll down to MIB File: Download button
This will download a file named:
auth_manager_mibs.zip (may not be extractable with all versions of Winzip, but 7zip works)
This zipfile is different depending on the kind of appliance hardware. With the VMWare virtual appliance, this file can be extracted to a directory structure that includes MIBs for the SuSE Linux OS and the RSA-AM . With the Dell-brand R210 and R710, additional MIBs are added for the Dell Hardware.
With the Intel-brand appliance hardware, the file auth_manager_mibs.zip is double-zipped.
Resolution
Note: the original release of Authentication Manager 8.1 (unpatched) had a defect in the MIBs (AM-27995) . This defect was corrected in Authentication Manager 8.1 patches, so apply the latest patch to all appliance platforms before downloading the MIB zipfile.
