DNS configuration is lost after a reboot in RSA Governance & Lifecycle Virtual Application

Issue
The symptoms of the issue include the inability to resolve any external hostnames, including the hostname of the Oracle database used by the RSA Governance & Lifecycle application. For example, if the Oracle database hostname was provided during the initial configuration, the following error shows up during RSA Governance & Lifecycle application startup and the database hostname cannot be resolved on the Virtual Application:
