This article describes how to integrate Dell PowerStore with RSA Authentication Manager using REST API.
   

Configure RSA Authentication Manager

Perform these steps to configure RSA Authentication Manager using REST API.
Procedure
  1. Sign in to the Security Console.
  2. To add a new agent host, click Access > Authentication Agents > Add New.
  3. Enter all the required information. The Hostname will be used later as the client ID for configuring Dell PowerStore.                                        image.png
  4. Navigate to Setup > System Settings > RSA SecurID Authentication API and activate Enable Authentication API to allow the use of the REST API.
  5. Take note of the Access Key that will be used later for configuring Dell PowerStore.                                                                                     image.png
  6. Obtain the relevant CA certificates from your Tenant URL that will be required later for the Dell PowerStore configuration.
    To retrieve the necessary CA certificate from your Tenant URL, follow these steps. These instructions are adaptable to most modern browsers, though the specific menus and labels may vary slightly:
    1. Open your Tenant URL in a web browser.
    2. To view the certificate, click the lock or info icon in the address bar, click Certificate or Connection is secure, and click the Certificate to open the certificate details.
    3. To export the CA certificate, on the Details tab, click Copy to File or Export and choose a format such as DER or PEM.
    4. To save the certificate, choose a location on your computer to save the exported certificate file and complete the saving process.    image.png
  7. Once the RSA configuration on the Dell PowerStore side is successful, create new Software Token Profiles in RSA Authentication Manager by clicking Authentication > Software Token Profiles > Add New.                                                                                               image.png
  8. Assign tokens to the Local Username or LDAP according to your requirements.
  9. Distribute the token on the STDID delivery method chosen in the software token profile.                                                                              image.png
  10. Download the distributed STDID file and import it to the RSA token app.                                                                                                    image.png
  

Configure Dell PowerStore

Perform these steps to configure Dell PowerStore.
Procedure
  1. Click PowerStore GUI > Settings > Authentication > RSA SecurID > Configure.
  2. Enter the previously fetched information, including the Access Key, Client ID, and Certificate, from the RSA Authentication Manager configuration.                                                                                                                                                                                   image.png  image.png
  3. Click Save.
  

Note

When adding the contents of the certificate file into the certificate text field, make sure to include both the "BEGIN CERTIFICATE" and "END CERTIFICATE" lines.


The configuration is complete.
