Do Web Services need to be enabled if they are not being used in RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle?

Issue
Is there any reason Web Services (Admin > Web Services) need to be enabled in RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle if they are not being used?
 
Resolution
Web Services do not need to be enabled unless you are going to use Web Services. The application allows you to turn the Web Services Interface On or Off depending on whether you plan to use Web Services or not. To turn on Web Services:
  1. Go to Admin > Web Services > Settings tab > Edit
  2. Toggle Web Services On
