What versions of nCipher software have been qualified with Digital Certificates Solution (DCS) products?
Resolution
Due to independent release schedules for the RSA DCS products versus the nCipher / Thales software and HSMs, not all version combinations can be qualified.  When a new / latest nCipher software version is tested by RSA (or RSA and Thales), the qualified version information is documented in either RSA DCS product release notes (available on RSA Link) and/or in the RSA Partner Engineering implementation guides (available on RSA Ready Community).

Here's a list of nCipher software versions qualified with DCS products (the list is updated as needed):

CERTMGR-3672: nCipher software v 11.x and later installed on Windows platform under the following default folders causes problems with RCM installation:

C:\Program Files\nCipher\nfast
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\nCipher
C:\ProgramData\nCipher

For a workaround, refer to solution 000013855 - RSA Certificate Manager installation fails with error "XrcNOTFOUND: unable to locate requested member or object" when selecting SSL Keys based on nCipher software version 11.11.

CMAPI-193: RCM-API 6.9 build 556 and later on Windows for VS6.0 platform is built with nCipher Development Library v10.50.  Other RCM-API libraries for Windows platforms VS 2005 and VS 2008 are built with nCipher Development Library v11.62.
