Issue

RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle experiences performance issues in Database Statistics gathering when using Oracle 19c (Oracle 19.0.0.0).

This may manifest as general delays or specific delays during Data Unification or Calculate Role Metrics.

There are two different issues that may affect customers using Oracle 19c.  Although separate issues, both affect the overall performance of database statistics gathering.  RSA recommends that customers are aware of both issues and take corrective action.

The Oracle AWR (Automatic Workload Repository) Report may show the following artifacts:

Issue #1
Excessive executions for Oracle query with SQL ID 2p9fv35c7zxtg

2p9fv35c7zxtg    select /* KSXM:LOAD_DML_INF...

Issue #2
Long execution times for queries beginning with SQL Analyze (with different SQL IDs)

8fvw1uxuywwa5    /* SQL Analyze(0) */ select
Cause
These are Oracle Database defects.
Resolution
For customers using an RSA-provided Oracle database, ensure you have applied the latest RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle Appliance Updater for Oracle 19c.
  • This issue is resolved in the "August 2021 – Updater for Oracle 19c" and later.

For customers using a customer-supplied Oracle database, ensure you have applied all the recent Oracle patches and updates.  Specifically, ensure you have patches for the following issues:
