The RADIUS Export Utility will work with the RSA Authentication Manager 6.1 Remote Administration client and the script enables your remote administration client to export RADIUS data from an Authentication Manager 6.1 installation. Chapter 3 Installing and Upgrading Remote Administration Software of the RSA Authentication Manager 6.1 for Windows Installation Guide covers setting up the RSA Authentication Manager 6.1 Remote Administration client on a supported Windows platform.
IMPORTANT NOTE : using the RADIUS Export utility with the Remote Administration software avoids making any change to the 6.1 primary instance where a change control may be required.
RADIUS Export Utility steps:
| 1. | Install the Remote Administration client on a support Microsoft Windows server. Please refer to Chapter 3: Installing and Upgrading Remote Administration Software (page 21) of the RSA Authentication Manager 6.1 for Windows Installation Guide (URL : https://knowledge.rsasecurity.com/docs/rsa_securid/rsa_auth_mgr/61/authmgr_install_windows.pdf) to install the Remote Administration client. | ||
| 2. | NOTE: check that the RSA Authentication Manager Remote Mode (remote administration client) is working before running the RSA Authentication Manager 6.x RADIUS Export Utility setup script (patchRemoteAdmin.bat) Copy the RSA Authentication Manager 6.x RADIUS Export Utility software onto the same Microsoft Windows server as the Remote Administration client. | ||
| 3. | Running the script patchRemoteAdmin.bat A Windows Command Prompt window opens.. Example:
Now use the Remote Administration client to generate a RADIUS package.. Example: Click the Generate Package button..
| ||
| TIP | Should you get this error.. ..instead of seeing the RSA RADIUS Export Utility then check whether the file ‘msvcr71.dll’ can be found on the Windows PATH. A copy of the ‘msvcr71.dll’ file can be found in RSA SFTP site or RSASCheck and placing it in the C:\Windows\system32 may help. Download RSASCheck-5.0.88.zip from URL https://community.emc.com/docs/DOC-16578 (registration may be required to get access to RSASCheck if you do not already have an account) |
