Summary
RSA would like to remind customers who are using Oracle Database version 12c (12.1.0.2) with SecurID Governance & Lifecycle that the Extended Support for Oracle Enterprise Database versions 12c (12.1.0.2) ended in July 2022 and that Oracle will no longer provide fixes, security alerts, critical patch updates, etc. after the end of Extended Support (reference). Accordingly, the SecurID Governance & Lifecycle Appliance Updater for Oracle 12c will end after all the latest applicable patches/security fixes have been incorporated into the Appliance Updater for Oracle 12c (planned for release in September 2022).
Recommendation
RSA strongly recommends and encourages customers to upgrade their Oracle Database version 12c, used with SecurID Governance & Lifecycle, to version 19c at the earliest.
If using customer-supplied Oracle Database 12c with:
- SecurID Governance & Lifecycle version 7.5.2, follow Oracle documentation to upgrade Oracle Database to 19c
- RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle versions 7.2.0*, 7.2.1*, or 7.5.0, follow Oracle documentation to upgrade Oracle Database to 19c
- RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle versions prior to 7.2, upgrade to SecurID Governance & Lifecycle 7.5.2 AND follow Oracle documentation to upgrade Oracle Database to 19c
* While customer-supplied Oracle Database 19c is supported by RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.2.0 and 7.2.1, RSA recommends that customers upgrade their RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.2.0 or 7.2.1 to the latest SecurID Governance & Lifecycle 7.5.2 at the same time as upgrading Oracle Database to 19c. RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.2 will reach End of Primary Support (EOPS) in February 2023 – please refer to the Product Version Life Cycle for SecurID Governance and Lifecycle page for additional details.
