Issue
RSA Web Agent was installed on Windows 2016 but during the authentication process the following error was happening:

Error message :Unable to authenticate, Network timeout. 

 
Cause
Windows Server had multiple network interface cards but also the Node Secret was not being created properly. 
Resolution
Execute the following steps to fix this issue:

1) Set an IP Address Override on RSA Web Agent.

Click Start > Settings > Control Panel, and double-click RSA Authentication Agent > On the Advanced tab, in the IP Address Override field, enter the IP address of the primary network interface of the Agent > Click Apply.

2) Create the RSA Agent on Security Console providing the same IP Address as set in the IP Address Override field.

In the Security Console, click Access > Authentication Agents > Add New.

3) Open the RSA Authentication Agent as Administrator and test the authentication.

Click Start > Settings > Control Panel, right-click RSA Authentication Agent > Select Run as Administrator > Click Main Tab > Test Authentication

4) If the authentication works, check if the Node Secret, securid file, was also created.
