TalentLMS - SAML SSO Agent Configuration - SecurID Access Implementation Guide

This section describes how to integrate SecurID Access with TalentLMS using a SAML SSO Agent.

Configure SecurID Access Cloud Authentication Service

Perform these steps to configure Cloud Authentication Service as an SSO Agent SAML IdP to TalentLMS.

Procedure

  1. Sign into the Cloud Administration Console and browse to Applications > Application Catalog.

  2. Search for TalentLMS click on +Add.

  3. On Basic Information page enter a Name for the application, ie. TalentLMS Then click on Next Step.

  4. On Connection Profile page

    1. In Connection URL field, update the <DOMAIN> value to reflect your instance of TalentLMS. For example, https://rsaready.talentlms.com/index/ssologin/service:saml.

    2. Scroll down to SAML Identity Provider (Issuer) section.

    3. Note the Identity Provider URL and Issuer Entity ID. These values are automatically generated. They may be needed later for the configuration of TalentLMS.

    4. Click on Generate Cert Bundle, set a a common name for your company certificate. Then click Generate and Download

    5. Select Choose File and upload the private key from the generated certificate bundle

    6. Select Choose File and upload the cert.pem from the generated certificate bundle.

    7. Select Include Certificate on Outgoing Assertion

    8. Scroll down to Service Provider section

    9. Enter the Assertion Consumer Service (ACS), update the <DOMAIN> value to reflect your instance of TalentLMS. For example, https://rsaready.talentlms.com/simplesaml/module.php/saml/sp/saml2-acs.php/rsaready.talentlms.com.

    10. Enter the Audience (Service Provider Issuer ID) update the <DOMAIN> value to reflect your instance of TalentLMS .For example, rsaready.talentlms.com.

    11. Scroll down to User Identity section

    12. Ensure Identifier Type = Email Address, set your Identity Source and Property = mail

    13. Expand the Show Advanced Configuration.

    14. In the Attribute Extensions add the following attributes based on the defaults defined in TalentLMS configuration.

    15. Click +ADD

    16. Attribute Name = TargetID and Property = title.

    17. Click +ADD

    18. Attribute Name = fname and Property = givenName.

    19. Click +ADD

    20. Attribute Name = lname and Property = sn.

    21. Click +ADD

    22. Attribute Name = Email and Property = mail.

    23. Ensure the property values for TargetID, fname, lname, and email are mapped properly based on your configuration.

    24. Click Next Step

  5. On User Access page select the Access Policy you require. Allow All Authenticated Users is the least restrictive. Click Next Step

  6. On Portal Display Page

    1. Select Display in Portal

    2. Upload an Application Icon if you wish

    3. Set an Application Tooltip if you wish.

    4. Click on Save and Finish.

  7. Click on Publish Changes. Your application is now enabled for SSO. If you make any additional changes to the application configuration you will need to republish.

Configure TalentLMS

Perform these steps to integrate TalentLMS with SecurID Access as a SAML SSO Agent.

Procedure

  1. Sign intoTalentLMS as Admin and browse to Account & SettingsUsers.

  2. Select Single Sign-On (SSO).

  3. For SSO Integration Type select SAML 2.0.

  4. For Identity provider (IdP) field enter the value for the Issuer Entity ID obtained above. For example, zxuewhj1o8yx.

  5. For Remote sign-in URL field enter the value for the Identity Provider URL obtained above. For example, https://portal.sso.pe.rsa.net/IdPServlet?idp_id=zxuewhj1o8yx..

  6. For Certificate fingerprint enter the certificate fingerprint for the public IDP certificate created above in the generated certificate bundle. There are many sites that can generate the fingerprint for you. For example, https://certlogik.com/decoder/.

  7. Click on Save and check your configuration.

  8. Click on Save.
