Unable to login to RSA Authentication Manager via SSH after changing operating system password to contain a backslash (\)

Issue
Authentication Manager 8.2, 8.2 SP1 and 8.3 allow you to save a password for the rsaadmin user that contains a backslash (\) on Operations Console, but it does not allow login with that password.
  1. Login to the primary Authentication  Manager Operations Console.
  2. Navigate to Administration > Operating System Access.
  3. Under Change Operating System Password, enter  the current operating system password then the new operating system password that has a backslash.  In the  example below, the new password is gyz!8Kmh\.
  4. Click Save

  1. Either through an  SSH session or direct connection to the console,try to login with the new password.
  2. Login fails when using gyz!8Kmh\ as the password:

Cause
The backslash character (\) is not an allowable character for the Authentication Manager operating system password.
Workaround
To ensure access to the Authentication Manager command line, use only characters in the basic ASCII character set except for space, @, ~ and \ when creating an rsaadmin password.
