Unification hangs in Step 9/11 Post-Processing: Purge Old Identity Data in RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle

Issue
After upgrading RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle from 7.0.1 to 7.1.0 or 7.1.1, unification fails to complete. The unification process can be seen hanging on Step 9/11 Post-Processing: Purge Old Identity Data.

Cause
This is a known defect reported in ACM-98822, where the cleanup of tables T_USER_MAPPING and T_ENTERPRISE_USERS on RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.0.x was not consistent, causing post-upgrade issues when purging data from those two tables.
Resolution
The solution is twofold:
  1. A script file is needed to cleanup tables T_USER_MAPPING and T_ENTERPRISE_USERS. Please contact RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle customer support for the resolution.
  2. Upgrade to RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.1.0 P09 or RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.1.1 P03 for additional performance improvements in this step of the unification process.
