Issue
Remote Administration Client Idle Timeout
Resolution
The Remote Administration software for RSA ACE/Server does not have a client idle option, as this is governed by the operating system where the RSA ACE/Server is installed. For example, if the RSA ACE/Server was installed and running on a SUN Solaris system, and Remote Administration is running on Windows 2000 and there was no activity on the socket for two hours, the SUN Solaris system starts to probe the client every seventy-five (75) seconds. If eight (8) of these probes fail, the server disconnects the client. In other words, it takes two hours ten minutes (2hr 10min) to disconnect the client (Remote Administration).

These values are changeable but the customer must contact the vendor who owns the operating system for details on how to change the ?no activity on the socket? or ' TCP Keep Alive' period.
