FIM 4.x - What  JAVA JDK Should be Used with WebLogic 9 or WebLogic 10 with FIM  4.x
The installations guides for FIM do not state what version of  JAVA JDK or which JDK (Sun or jRockit)  is supported or required with a supported Operating System.
Cause
For most of the WebLogic 9.2 and 10 app servers, we support the JVM's that come with the app server and the JVM's the app server additionally supports. The documentation cannot specify the full matrix as it will be difficult to keep in sync with how WebLogic expands its platform support. It will require a constant update of the documentation with all the external dependencies like OS, App Server, JVM etc.
Resolution

Any specific combination like will a 32 bit server run on a 64 bit machine and so forth will work unless and until weblogic app server supports that. You can look all such combinations on BEA/Oracle site for weblogic. FIM will run on all such combinations as long as the app server works and we will support it if an issue arises.

Notes
The BEA Products installation program requires a Java run-time environment (JRE) to run. A JRE is bundled in the Windows installation program and in some UNIX installation programs (those with filenames ending in .bin). For other UNIX platforms, the installation program does not install a JDK. Filenames for these installation programs end in .jar. To run the .jar installation programs, you must have the appropriate version of the JDK installed on your system, and include the bin directory of the JDK at the beginning of the PATH variable definition. It is important that you use a JDK because the installation process assigns values to JAVA_HOME and related variables to point to the JDK directory.
