Brocade keys are showing up a state of PREACTIVATED and start date being Never

Keys in PREACTIVATED state are security objects containing the "LUN base record", which is some data used solely by the Brocade implementation. It is not a key, hence its state being PREACTIVATED without a start date.
Keys in ACTIVATED state are the actual keys (DEK - Data Encryption Key) used to encrypt LUNs managed by Brocade. Those DEKs are based and created using information from that "LUN base record".
