Resolution
RSA SecurID Smart Card 3100 is electronically personalized by loading two sets of RSA key pairs as well as two standard X.509 v 3 digital certificates. It supports single or dual-certificate environments (where one key pair is used for digital signing/authentication, and a second key pair is used for encryption). In addition, there is a private area on the smart card that can be used to store login information for passwords specific to each user used for facilitating single sign-on.

With RSA SecurID Smart Card 3100, organizations can custom order additional features that provide graphical identification on the smart card such as company logo and user name. Each smart card also incorporates a magnetic stripe, which customers can program for use with their existing physical building access systems. In addition, RSA SecurID Smart Card 3100 functionality can be integrated with proximity building access cards. These features allow RSA SecurID Smart Card 3100 to be used as a portable PKI credential store, employee badge and building access card thus eliminating the number of cards per employee.

RSA SecurID Smart Card 3100 supports the following standards:

- ISO 7816 standards for smart cards
- PC/SC Workgroup Specifications for smart card readers
- X.509 v 3 certificates
