Management Information Base Objects for SNMP for the Hardware Appliance

RSA Authentication Manager includes Management Information Base (MIB) files that you can use to monitor the appliance hardware. You can download the appliance MIB files from the Security Console. For more information on configuring SNMP for AM and downloading MIB files, see Configure SNMP.

AM supports hardware trap generation for SNMP v3. AM does not support hardware trap generation through SNMPv1 or SNMPv2.

The hardware appliance MIB files contain MIB objects that you can use for GETS, to collect aggregate and real-time performance data for the hardware appliance. You can view these objects and their corresponding statistics in a MIB browser. To view the details of the MIB objects, you must download a MIB browser.

Dell Hardware Appliance MIB Files

The following table describes the Dell hardware appliance MIB files provided with AM.

MIB File

Contents

10892.mib

Information about the systems monitored by Server Administrator instrumentation software. The 10892.mib is the primary MIB for the PowerEdge systems.

dcs3rmt.mib

Information about the remote access components monitored by the Server Administrator Remote Access Service.

adptinfo.mibBroadcom NetXtreme Adapter Extended Information Set
baspCfg.mib, baspStat.mibLoadBalance/VLAN configuration Management Information Base
baspTrap.mibInformation about Broadcom(R) Advanced Server Trap
DcAsfSrv.mibInformation about Dell Server ASF PET events
dcs3fru.mibThis MIB defines MIB objects that make system FRU information available to SNMP management applications

dcstorag.mib

Information about the storage hardware components and RAID configurations monitored by Server Administrator.

dellrac.mib

Information related to the remote access card.

Dellcm.mibThe MIB defines objects that make change management data available to SNMP management applications

DELL-RAC-MIB.txt

Information about the components monitored by the remote access out-of-band software agent.

iDRAC-SMIv2.mib

Information about the SNMP data, and traps, supported by the iDRAC7. This MIB file is written in "SMv2" notation/format.

OME.mib

Defines traps forwarded by Dell OpenManage Essentials (OME), as well as internally generated alerts based on health and power monitoring.

qlaspCfg.mib

The QLogic Advanced Server Configuration MIB defines the LoadBalance/VLAN configuration Management Information Base.

These objects are part of the enterprise MIB for QLogic Advanced Server.

qlaspStat.mib

The QLogic Advanced Server Statistics MIB defines the Load Balance/VLAN Statistics Management Information Base.

These objects are part of the enterprise MIB for Broadcom Advanced Server.

qlaspTrap.mib

The QLogic Advanced Server Trap MIB provides information about the QLogic adapter.

qlgcadptinfo.mib

The QLogic NetXtreme Network Adapter Extended Information MIB defines the QLogic NetXtreme Adapter Extended Information Set.

These objects are part of the enterprise MIB for QLogic server and workstation network adapters.

INTELLAN.mibInformation about INTEL-LAN-ADAPTERS
MX7000.mibThis mib provides management date for Enterprise - Modular Management Software. This MIB also contains information on RAC legacy alerting.

To view the contents of these MIB files, you must download a MIB browser.

Intel Hardware Appliance MIB Files

The Intel hardware appliance includes two MIB files. The basebrd5_v1.mib file supports SNMP v1 or later, and the basebrd7_v5.mib file supports SNMP v2 or later. Either MIB file can be used for SNMP monitoring because Authentication Manager supports SNMP v3. Authentication Manager does not support hardware trap generation through SNMPv1 or SNMPv2.

Each hardware appliance MIB file supports traps and GETS for the following components:

  • Voltage
  • Temperature
  • System Fan (includes redundancy)
  • Memory
  • Processor
  • Power Supply (includes redundancy)
  • PCI Hot Plug Events
  • Chassis

The hardware appliance MIB files contain MIB objects that you can use for GETS, to collect aggregate and real-time performance data for the hardware appliance. You can view these objects and their corresponding statistics in a MIB browser. To view the details of basebrd5_v1.mib and basebrd7_v5.mib, you must download a MIB browser.
