updateReviewItems web service fails to update review items when the UserID is the same for two users in RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle

Issue
The updateReviewItems web service command is not able to update review items when two users have the same UserID. This scenario occurs when there is a duplicate user where one user is active and the other is terminated. This issue is seen only when using web services. When updating the review items for the same (duplicate) user in the RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle user interface, the action completes successfully. As long as there is only one unique UserID, the web service command updateReviewItems completes as expected.

Cause
This is a known issue reported in engineering ticket ACM-87462.
 
Resolution
This issue is resolved in the following RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle versions and/or patch levels:
  • RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.1.1 P02
  • RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.2
Workaround
Avoid the webservice call if there are duplicate users on the system.
