@TWCSI (Customer) ,
Use this link to download the RSA Authentication Agent 7.4.7 for Windows. Note that support for this agent ended in June 2024.
We recommend upgrading your agents to the RSA MFA Agent 2.3.6 for Windows, released last week.
Thank you for the response. I didn’t realize 7.4.7 support had ended.
Regarding the RSA MFA Agent 2.3.6, does it still need the RSA Appliance (RSA Authentication Manager 8.7 SP 2 P 05) that does the verification?
It sounds like its independent and uses AD Cert and FIDO2 key (like a Yubikey)?

RSA MFA Agent 2.3.6 can operate independently of RSA Authentication Manager by leveraging AD certificates and FIDO2-certified security keys for passwordless authentication. The documentation specifies that passwordless authentication is supported when the MFA Agent is connected directly to the RSA Cloud Authentication Service (CAS), using AD certificates and FIDO2 keys. Authentication Manager is not a mandatory component for this functionality.
The prerequisites outlined include:
Please review the Passwordless Authentication Support in Windows MFA Agent Quick Setup Guide for more information.
The link doesn't even work for those who want to upgrade before testing the mfa agent policies first instead of existing auth agent
@savvy (Customer) ,
The Authentication Agent 7.4.7 for Windows was end of lifed in June 2024 and is no longer available. Links for download and documentation for the MFA Agent 2.4.2 for Windows are now available. You can install the MFA agent on any Windows workstation on a supported OS then configure and test it without impacting your existing agents.
You will find that the MFA agents are easier to manage (no node secrets or sdconf.rec files) and you only need to create one agent record in the Security Console to manage all of them rather than one agent record per workstation. Be sure to download the GPO template guide for steps on how to enable the agent, turn on logging and more.
