IGL v8 P05 link to the AFX Log within the Advanced tab of requests is missing

After upgrading to v8 P05, the AFX Log link on the Advanced tab of requests is missing in two of our four environments. Here is an example of a request in our Production environment which successfully provisioned an AD Group using the AFX, yet there is no link to the AFX Log:

imageHere is an example from our Development environment (Patch 08), also for provisioning an AD Group to the same Domain using AFX, and the AFX Log link is present:

Additionally, there are no logs present under AFX > Servers > Logs tab:

Any ideas on why this is happening in two of our four environments?

Additionally, I checked T_AV_AFX_LOG_FILE, T_AV_AFX_LOG_MESSAGE and T_AV_AFX_CONN_LOG_SETTINGS. None of them have any rows in Production but are populated in Developement.

    • is it remote AFX? or local?

are the actual AFX log files (in esb/log folder) being populated?

      • Not many ideas on this.

I would start with restarting AFX and making sure that the JDK was upgraded as well as part of P5 upgrade (if needed).

If still having issues, I would restart acm.

      • are you logging in with AveksaAdmin?

or you are using a different user with admin privileges?

is the issue observed across different users? or specific user?

      • ChrisPope (Customer)

The issue is observed across different users, including AveksaAdmin and my own which has some Admin access such as

        Access Request Administrator.

  • Maybe related to securitycontext

Did you uploaded a custom securitycontext?

Well, to fix another issue with ADCs and EDCs not working, we had to reinstall the remote Windows Agent. Now, it seems the AFX log is magically back. No idea how...or even if...the reinstall fixed this...but it's back. smh
