VMware Tools and RSA AM Servers

What is the latest supported version of VMware Tools?
Does RSA have documentation on how to upgrade VMware Tools?

I've been tasked with getting our RSA AM and IR servers onto the latest RSA supported version of VMware Tools. I can't find any info in the Community portal telling me what the latest version is. Additionally, I'm not finding instructions for upgrading. We're running an Authentication Manager server, an AM replication server, and an IR server. They show 3 different versions of VMware Tools.

 

If you've dealt with this and could share your insights, it would be greatly appreciated.

    VMware Tools isn't something you update on its own for Authentication Manager. It is bundled with the appliance build and only gets updated when you apply an Authentication Manager patch or upgrade. There's no separate install package for it.

     

    Please confirm your current version of VMware Tools by logging in to your primary via SSH then running

    cd /usr/bin ./vmtoolsd -v
