Informatica Inc. - SAML SSO Agent Configuration - RSA Ready SecurID Access Implementation Guide

This section describes how to integrate RSA SecurID Access with Informatica using a SAML SSO Agent.

Configure RSA Cloud Authentication Service

Perform these steps to configure RSA Cloud Authentication Service(CAS) as an SSO Agent SAML IdP to Informatica.

Procedure

  1. Sign into the RSA Cloud Administration Console and browse to Applications > Application Catalog.

  2. Search for Informatica and Click on +Add.

  3. On Basic Information page enter a Name for the application, ie. Informatica Then click on Next Step.

  4. On Connection Profile page.

    1. In Connection URL field, verify the default setting.

    2. Choose IDP-Initiated.

    3. Scroll down to SAML Identity Provider (Issuer) section.

    4. Note the Identity Provider URL and Issuer Entity ID. These values are automatically generated. They may be needed later for the configuration of Informatica.

    5. Click on Generate Cert Bundle, set a a common name for your company certificate. Then click Generate and Download .

    6. Select Choose File and upload the private key from the generated certificate bundle.

    7. Select Choose File and upload the cert from the generated certificate bundle. The public certificate in the bundle is used for the Informatica Inc. configuration below.

    8. Select Include Certificate on Outgoing Assertion .

    9. Scroll down to Service Provider section.

    10. Enter the Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) Replace the <UNIQUE_ACCOUNT_ID> with that for your Informatica instance. For example: https://app.informaticaondemand.com/ma/sso/z6q25o4q.

    11. Enter the Audience (Service Provider Issuer ID) Replace the <UNIQUE_ACCOUNT_ID> with that for your Informatica instance. For example: https://z6q25o4q.app.informaticaondemand.com/.

    12. Scroll down to User Identity section .

    13. Ensure Identifier Type = Email Address, set your Identity Source and Property = mail.

    14. Expand Show Advanced Configuration . Note Property values may vary based on your configuration.

    15. In Attribute Extension section click +ADD.

    16. Add Attribute Name = firstName and Property = givenName.

    17. In Attribute Extension section click +ADD.

    18. Add Attribute Name = lastName and Property = sn.

    19. Click Next Step.

  5. On User Access page select the Access Policy you require. Allow All Authenticated Users is the least restrictive. Click Next Step.

  6. On Portal Display Page.

    1. Select Display in Portal.

    2. Upload an Application Icon if you wish.

    3. Set an Application Tooltip if you wish.

    4. Click on Save and Finish.

  7. Browse to Application > My Applications .

  8. Locate newly create application for Informatica.

  9. Click on Down Arrow next to Edit button.

  10. Select Export Metadata data. This may be used below for Informatica configuration.

  11. Click on Publish Changes. Your application is now enabled for SSO. If you make any additional changes to the application configuration you will need to republish.

Configure Informatica

Perform these steps to integrate Informatica with RSA SecurID Access as a SAML SSO Agent.

Procedure

  1. Login into the informatica application and navigate to the SAML SSO.

  2. In the Edit SAML SSO Configuration, click Upload XML File... to load the exported IdP Metadata from above. You can also manually enter the information if desired.

  3. In the SAML Attribute mapping section, set First Name = firstName and Last Name= lastName. These map to the attributes configured in the RSA Cloud Authentication Service configuration above.

  4. Click OK.

  5. You can download the Service Provider Metadata if desired. This could be imported above, or used to provide the Service Provider information in the RSA CAS configuration above.

Configuration is complete.
