Issue
When making changes to an existing attribute change rule in RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle, the rule reverts to a previous version. This usually happens immediately but sometimes does not happen for a day or more. The attribute change rule is triggered to run after identity unification. This configuration setting can be seen in the user interface by going to
Rules >
Definitions > {
existing attribute change rule} >
General tab.

RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle Support and open a new support case so that root cause can be determined and a permanent resolution found.
Workaround
To resolve this issue, unschedule the rule, run unification, process the rule manually, and then reschedule the rule to run after unification.
- Go to Rules > Definitions > {attribute change rule} > General tab > Edit
- Uncheck the Run after identity unification box > OK

- Run unification: Collectors > Unification Config > Participating Collectors tab > Run Unification
- Run the rule manually: Rules > Definitions > {attribute change rule} > General tab > Process Rule
- Reschedule the rule:
- Go to Rules > Definitions > {attribute change rule} > General tab > Edit
- Check the Run after identity unification box > OK
- Run unification: Collectors > Unification Config > Participating Collectors tab > Run Unification
- Check that the rule is still at the current version. Continue testing for a few days to be sure the rule does not revert to a previous version.
