Issue
Form variables set by radio button options do not retain the value when the form is refreshed either when an error occurs on the form where a mandatory field is missing and the form is displayed again, or in situations where the user presses the
Forward and then the
Back button to display the page again.
Note: If the radio button has a default value, the value will be set back to the default when the page is refreshed but if there is no default value then the value of the variable is null.
This may cause the incorrect display of other elements on the page that depend on the value of the variable linked to the radio button
Cause
This is a known issue in 6.9.1 and 7.0 versions of RSA Via Lifecycle and Governance.
Resolution
This issue is fixed in the latest patches for each version:
- For RSA Aveksa 6.9.1 this issue is resolved in 6.9.1 P13.
- For RSA Via Lifecycle and Governance 7.0 this issue is resolved in 7.0 P03.
- This issue is resolved in the release version of RSA Via Lifecycle and Governance 7.0.1.
Workaround
There is no work around for this issue. You can select a different type of option dialog such as a drop down list instead of radio buttons for the form variable.
