Issue
After an upgrade to version 7.0 or higher of RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle that required an Oracle database upgrade to 12c, the import of the database fails with the following error when executing
$AVEKSA_HOME/database/DBA/AVDB/scripts/AVDB_Import_AVUSER.sh. The error is seen in the terminal output during the import and in the import log file (
$AVEKSA_HOME/AveksaExportImportDir/Import_AVDB_avuser.log).
ORA-39346: data loss in character set conversion for object SCHEMA_EXPORT/PACKAGE/PACKAGE_BODY Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/TYPE/TYPE_BODY
Cause
This issue is caused by an Oracle defect which does not properly handle the import of an Oracle 11 database into an Oracle 12c database. The full details regarding this Oracle defect are noted in

Resolution
RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle Engineering has reviewed this Oracle defect and determined that this error is benign with regards to the RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle application. No additional steps are required for the successful import of the database, as long as this is the only error message seen in the terminal output or the import log ($AVEKSA_HOME/AveksaExportImportDir/Import_AVDB_avuser.log) when executing the import script ($AVEKSA_HOME/database/DBA/AVDB/scripts/AVDB_Import_AVUSER.sh).
