There is a new feature starting in RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.1.0 called
Data Archiving (
Admin >
System >
Data Management tab >
Archiving) which allows you to back up and remove older data from active use that may be needed later for an audit. Once data has been archived there are specific instructions for restoring the archived data. This information may be found in the online help. In the user interface, click on the
? in the top right corner, search for
Archiving, click on
Archiving Data, scroll to the bottom and click on
Restore a Data Archive for an Audit.
Two SQL script files are mentioned:
- DropRestoredArchiveObjects.sql - to be run before importing the archived data.
- GrantReadOnRestoredArchiveObjects.sql - to be run after importing the archived data.
This RSA Knowledge Base Article explains where to find these two files.
NOTE: A Data Archive restored to a database with the SQL scripts mentioned above cannot be accessed in the RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle user interface. They are restored for audit purposes only.
For RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle appliances the SQL scripts may be found in:
/home/oracle/database/packages/ArchivePurge
For non-appliance RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle environments, the SQL scripts may be downloaded from this RSA Knowledge Base Article.
