Issue
One of the following errors are seen:
Error: "Access Denied, Syntax Error" when authenticating with Oracle SQL RADIUS client using Advanced Security Option and shared secrets over 16 characters
Error: "Access Denied, Syntax Error" Shared secret / encryption key is longer than 16 characters as documented in the Partner Advanced Security Option Implementation Guide
Cause
The Oracle application is actually truncating the shared secret without error and sending only the first 16 characters to RSA Authentication Manager.
Resolution
To correct this issue, shorten the shared secret and encryption key to 16 characters or fewer.
