Issue
Are Administrative rights needed when installing RAC and the CCID drivers?
Administrative or power-user rights needed to install RAC or CCID drivers
Resolution
If you plan on pushing the CCID driver installation and RAC installation using SMS, please make note of the following.
Administrative rights are needed to install RAC. If using SMS, use the proper permissions when pushing the SMS package.
Administrative rights are needed to install the CCID drivers. If using SMS, use the proper permissions when pushing the SMS package. Also, for the CCID driver installation to complete, a SID800 token MUST be inserted. If the SMS package is installed, and a non-administrative user connects his SID800 for the first time after the CCID installation, the CCID installation will fail. You must have administrative rights when connecting the SID800, only the first time after installing the CCID drivers.
