Issue

When committing network changes via the Identity Router's virtual console the following error displays:

Problem syncing interface

When booting the IDR, in the Setting up (localfs) network interfaces task, there are references to eth2 and eth3 instead of eth0 and eth1.

Cause

There are several possible causes:

• MAC addresses of the IDR were changed.
• Network interface cards of the IDR were changed.
• IDR VM was cloned or copied.

Resolution

Deploy a new IDR and publish the IDR configuration to resolve this issue.
