Issue
When an administrator performs the token resynchronization task for a software token in the RSA Authentication Manager Security Console, it fails with the following message:
Token code incorrect
Cause
Running an administrative report shows an administrator has performed the task of software token distribution; however, the software token application has not been updated with the new software token .sdtid file, compressed token format (CTF) URL or CT-KIP URL with an activation code.
Resolution
Complete the software token distribution by importing the newly distributed software token .sdtid file, compressed token format (CTF) URL or CT-KIP URL with activation code into the software token application.
Refer to Chapter 9 of the
RSA Authentication Manager 8.4 Administrator’s Guide for information on deploying and administering RSA SecurID software tokens.
Notes
Be careful when performing software token bulk distribution or individual software token distribution through the Security Console, as once a software token is distributed the new software token sdtid file, compressed token format (CTF) URL or CT-KIP URL with activation code must be used with the software token application for the token codes to work in any SecurID authentication.
