Summary
RSA has qualified new versions of BIOS and firmware for Dell-based hardware appliances. These updates include the latest security fixes and firmware enhancements. RSA strongly recommends that you apply these updates to your hardware appliance. RSA continues to support the previously qualified BIOS and firmware versions.

RSA recommends updating appliances using the iDRAC web interface. For instructions on how to do this, please click on the link under the Update Method column for the appliance you plan to update and scroll to the appropriate section.
- iDRAC9 instructions are for Dell Models: R240, R250, R640
Note:
Important Information: After the firmware update, it is crucial to perform a complete graceful shutdown to power off the system, then power on to enable the new firmware. A warm reboot will NOT activate the updated firmware. If iDRAC/LC is used to perform the update, a graceful shutdown to power off after the update is still required.
