Diagnostics and System Data Gathering Feature in RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle

Issue
When an Administrator logs into a new RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle installation for the first time, a license agreement and usage information is displayed:
RSA collects diagnostic and system data information and makes it available to RSA to better understand your usage and version deployed. This information provides RSA with insights on the Identity Governance and Lifecycle deployments and helps make decisions such as when to extend support or deprecate certain versions, what new features and enhancements to prioritize in the upcoming releases. All information collected will be sent securely to RSA and will remain confidential. The settings can be changed on Admin->Diagnostics->Diagnostics and System Data.
This article describes this purpose of this new feature, the types of information gathered, and how to modify the local gathering and information sharing settings if desired.

Two types of information are gathered:- Deployment and License Information
- Component Metrics
Deployment and License Information
- License usage details are collected to understand the compliance with the license purchased and usage trends.
- Details on the type of endpoints and how the Connectors and Collectors are deployed are gathered.
- The product version of RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle and what components are enabled are collected.

The only customer-specific information that is shared are node and environment names.
The local gathering and information sharing settings may be changed at any time by navigating to the Admin > Diagnostics > Diagnostics and System Data screen and choosing 'Edit.'
Reporting
The diagnostics and system data gathered can be of value to you in understanding the state of your environment and its trends. For this reason, RSA has provided several default reports under Reports > Charts > Grouping of 'Type' > expand type 'Diagnostics and System Data'. In addition, you may want to create your own custom reports. For custom reports, the data gathered is stored in public view PV_TELEMETRY_DATA.Related Articles
