Cause

1st reason is: The RSA IDR virtual machine has a CD-ROM attached.
2nd reason is: The RSA IDR is configured to have only one management interface, and the portal interface is not enabled/configured from the CLI; however, the virtual machine is configured to have 2 interfaces (management and portal interfaces).

  • Management IP invalid, and 2 NICs added, but trying to configure 1NIC
  • 1NIC added, but trying to configure 2NIC
  • 2NICs added, but trying to configure 1NIC
  • Management Gateway is out of the subnet range
  • Invalid Management Gateway
  • Invalid Management Netmask
  • Invalid Management IP
Resolution

1. Make sure of the network settings (Management Interface IP Address, Netmask and Gateway).
2. Remove a CD-ROM Drive From the virtual machine.
3. If the RSA IDR is configured to use only one interface (management interface), Delete the 2nd Interface/NIC of the virtual machine.
4. Commit the network configurations again.
