RSA Product/Service Type: Identity Router (IDR)
Failed to Install the Identity Router Virtual Appliance for VMware after committing the network configurations with an error "Error updating httpd.conf".
1st reason is: The RSA IDR virtual machine has a CD-ROM attached.
2nd reason is: The RSA IDR is configured to have only one management interface, and the portal interface is not enabled/configured from the CLI; however, the virtual machine is configured to have 2 interfaces (management and portal interfaces).
- Management IP invalid, and 2 NICs added, but trying to configure 1NIC
- 1NIC added, but trying to configure 2NIC
- 2NICs added, but trying to configure 1NIC
- Management Gateway is out of the subnet range
- Invalid Management Gateway
- Invalid Management Netmask
- Invalid Management IP
1. Make sure of the network settings (Management Interface IP Address, Netmask and Gateway).
2. Remove a CD-ROM Drive From the virtual machine.
3. If the RSA IDR is configured to use only one interface (management interface), Delete the 2nd Interface/NIC of the virtual machine.
4. Commit the network configurations again.
