Issue
Fiddler/FiddlerCap is a proxy tool that can be used to capture web sessions to aid in debugging traffic flow.  
Customers may be asked during their troubleshooting engagement to capture a web capture to aid in debugging traffic flow.

 
Tasks

Install FiddlerCap

  1. Download FiddlerCap
  2. Once downloaded, run FiddlerCap's installer program (fiddlercapsetup.exe).
 

Running FiddlerCap

  1. Once the installation completes, close all browsers and/or other applications that contact the web.  
  2. Launch FiddlerCap from the Start menu.  
  3. In FiddlerCap, click on the option to Decrypt HTTPS traffic.
  4. Launch the browser, where the issue can be reproduced, and clear the browser's cache and cookies.
  5. In FiddlerCap, click on the button 1. Start Capture.
  6. Browse to the site you wish to capture and attempt to reproduce the issue.
  7. Once the issue has re-surfaced, click on on the button 2.  Stop Capture in FiddlerCap.
  8. In FiddlerCap, click on the button, 3. Save Capture.
  9. Save the capture file to a location of your choice.
  10. Close FiddlerCap.
