Issue

I no longer have my MFA authenticator and need to reset it so I can access the RSA Community, the RSA Partner Portal, and/or myRSA.

Resolution

Follow the steps below to remove your configured MFA authenticator in order to configure a new authenticator.

  1. Navigate to the Authenticator Recovery page and enter your User ID (which should be your email address).
  2. Enter your password when prompted.
  3. Check your email for a Validation Code sent from noreply@securid.com
  4. Enter the Validation Code where prompted in your browser.

Enering the Validation Code where prompted.

  5. Optionally select the box to remember your browser and click the Continue button.
  6. Select an option on the Report Issue with Registered Authenticator page and then click Continue.

Selecting the reason why the authenticator must be reset

  7. Click on the Go to My Page button on the confirmation page.

  8. On the My Page screen, click on the Register an Authenticator button.
  9. Click on the type of authenticator that you wish to register.

Select the type of authenticator to register
  10. Follow the on-screen instructions to register your authenticator.

After registering a new authenticator, you will be able to authenticate successfully to the RSA Community, the RSA Partner Portal, and/or myRSA, depending on what you are permitted to access.

Notes

This procedure only works if you only have one MFA authenticator configured. If you have two or more authenticators configured, then you should log in to the RSA My Page portal to delete the authenticator you no longer have and optionally to set up a new one in its place.

If you have two or more authenticators configured and do not have access to any of them, you must contact RSA Support for assistance in resetting your authenticators.
