KnowledgeOwl - SAML SSO Agent Configuration - SecurID Access Implementation Guide

This section describes how to integrate SecurID Access with KnowledgeOwl using a SAML SSO Agent.

Configure SecurID Cloud Authentication Service

Perform these steps to configure SecurID Cloud Authentication Service as an SSO Agent SAML IdP to KnowledgeOwl.

Procedure

  1. Sign into the SecurID Cloud Administration Console and browse to Applications > Application Catalog.

  2. From the list of applications, search for Syncplicity and click +Add.

  3. On Basic Information page enter a Name for the application, ie. KnowledgeOwl Then click on Next Step.

  4. On Connection Profile page.

    1. Choose SP-Initiated and select POST for the binding method.

    2. In Connection URL field, set it to the Identity Provider URL found below. Based on the SP Login URL defined in the Knowledge Owl application. For example: https://rsateam.knowledgeowl.com/help/saml-login.Scroll down to SAML Identity Provider (Issuer) section.

    3. Note the Identity Provider URL . This value are automatically generated. They will be needed later for the configuration of KnowledgeOwl.

    4. For Issuer Entity ID, click on Override and enter the same URL as the Identity Provider URL.

    5. Click on Generate Cert Bundle, set a a common name for your company certificate. Then click Generate and Download .

    6. Select Choose File and upload the private key from the generated certificate bundle.

    7. Select Choose File and upload the cert from the generated certificate bundle.

    8. Select Include Certificate on Outgoing Assertion .

    9. Scroll down to Service Provider section.

    10. Enter the Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) Update the URL (https://<DOMAIN>.knowledgeowl.com/help/saml-login) based on your domain inKnowledgeOwl For example https://rsateam.knowledgeowl.com/help/saml-login.

    11. Use default value Audience (Service Provider Issuer ID) https://app.knowledgeowl.com/sp.

    12. Scroll down to User Identity section .

    13. Ensure Identifier Type = Email Address, set your Identity Source and Property = mail.

    14. Open the Show Advanced Configuration section

    15. Ensure the property values for the attributes Email, First_Name, Last_Name are set correctly.

    16. Click Next Step.

  5. On User Access page select the Access Policy you require. Allow All Authenticated Users is the least restrictive. Click Next Step.

  6. On Portal Display Page.

    1. Select Display in Portal.

    2. Upload an Application Icon if you wish.

    3. Set an Application Tooltip if you wish.

    4. Click on Save and Finish.

  7. Click on Publish Changes. Your application is now enabled for SSO. If you make any additional changes to the application configuration you will need to republish.

Configure KnowledgeOwl

Perform these steps to integrate KnowledgeOwl with SecurID SecurID Access as a SAML SSO Agent.

Procedure

  1. Sign into KnowledgeOwl and browse to SettingsSecurity.

  2. Change the Default Login Page for what is desired for your environment.

  3. Scroll down to the SAML SSO Integration section:

  4. Click on the Enable SAML SSO checkbox .

  5. For IdP Entity Id and IdP Login URL enter the Identity Provider URL from the SecurID Cloud Authentication Service configuration above. Note this is the same value used above for the Override value for Issuer . For example: https://portal.sso.pe.rsa.net/IdPServlet?idp_id=jnsbs7q87tr
  6. Enter the IdP Logout URL if desired.
  7. Click the Upload IDP Certificate link and select the public certificate used in of configuring CAS paste in the certificate value.

  8. Click the Map SAML Attributes link and enter values for SSO ID, Username, First Name and Last Name to be Email, Email,First_Name, and Last_Name respectively. Other fields are optional.

  9. Click on Save .

Configuration is complete.
