Platform: Android and iOS
RSA Authenticator 4.3 for iOS and Android will contain two new features:
1. New Name and Design for App:
- The app icon is changing, from
to
.
- To ease the transition for users, and to make sure that all are formally aware of this change, RSA has put in place the following mechanism:
- V4.3 of the app will be published on App Stores using the 'old' icon
- At installation, V4.3 will appear with the 'old' icon
- However, at launch time, the user will be presented with a screen explaining RSA is changing the app icon showing the old Icon and the new icon.
- Once this notice is acknowledged by the user, the app Icon will be programmatically changed/modified seamlessly, and the app will appear on the device home screen with the new icon.
- V4.3 of the app will be published on App Stores using the 'old' icon
Cloud Administrators will have access to additional configuration options that enable the inclusion of Code Matching functionality for Approve push notifications.
Note: Code Matching is currently only available for Approve push notifications. However, support for Biometric push notifications will be implemented at a later time.
This functionality involves a two-step process: first, a code is added to the Authentication interface, and then users are prompted to enter or select this code when they receive a notification on their Mobile Authenticator in order to approve the push notification.
