Summary

RSA has released a security update to address CVE-2026-31431 (Copy Fail), a high-severity Linux kernel vulnerability affecting appliances based on SLES 15 SP6. A patch update addressing this issue has been released.

Third-party components are updated for the following vulnerabilities:

  • Vulnerability Type: Local Privilege Escalation
  • Component: Linux Kernel (AF_ALG / algif_aead)

Recommendation

RSA recommends that all customers upgrade to the latest Identity Router patch at the earliest opportunity. If the Identity Router is already running version 12.24.x, the Identity Router status in the Cloud Administration Console does not change to Update Available for this security update.

 

Customers can still upgrade the Identity Router to the fixed version by following the instructions in Update Identity Router Software.
