Summary:

RSA announces the upcoming release of the RSA SecurID® Software Token 2.2 for iOS® in May, 2016. The RSA SecurID Software Token app transforms your iOS device into an RSA SecurID authentication device.

Description:

RSA SecurID Software Token for iOS provides a one-time password (OTP) software token app that can be installed on iOS devices. The app will be made available at no cost through the App Store. RSA partners interested in integrating RSA SecurID software token support into their own iOS app can also make use of the RSA SecurID SDK 2.2 for iOS, made available at the same time as the RSA SecurID Software Token for iOS app through the RSA Ready Partner Program.

Below is a summary of what is new in the upcoming release:

· In the RSA SecurID app, a small dial shows how much time remains for the current one-time passcode or tokencode. The dial changes color when the passcode or tokencode is about to change. This feature helps to prevent users from accidentally entering numbers from two different passcodes or tokencodes.

· This release adds support for iPhone landscape mode.

· The RSA SecurID app supports iOS 8 or later. The 2.2 release requires RSA Authentication Manager 8.1 or later or RSA SecurID Authentication Engine 2.8.1 for Java (API) for provisioning software tokens.

Obtaining RSA SecurID Software Token for iOS:

The application will only be made available at no cost through the App Store in May, 2016. Early access to the app will not be made available to customers.
