RSA to Enforce TLS 1.2 for all Cloud Authentication Service Connections Beginning May 15 2021
Originally Published: 2021-04-16
On August 26, 2020, RSA announced that TLS 1.2 will be required for Cloud Authentication Service connections beginning on October 31, 2020. To provide additional time for customers to make necessary configuration changes, the date was moved to mid-April 2021. RSA will now enforce TLS 1.2 for all Cloud Authentication Service connections beginning on May 15, 2021. If you have not updated your connections to TLS 1.2, you must do so immediately to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
Cloud Authentication Service customers should take the following actions immediately:
- If you use MFA Agent for Windows, RSA recommends that you upgrade to version 1.2.1 or later before May 15. All versions of MFA Agent for macOS support TLS 1.2.
For upgrade version information for specific agents, see our Product Version Life Cycle page.
- Make sure any custom development using the SecurID Authentication REST API or Cloud Administration REST API is compatible with TLS 1.2.
