Issue
Time zone settings have been checked on the Application Server, Database Server and Email Server. They are all correct.
Cause
This is caused by the setting of Min. Interval between Emails under the Email setting. The default setting of the Min. Interval between Emails is set for 60 seconds (one minute). which sends one email per minute.
If you keep the default setting, then the default is 60 seconds between each email that is generated. Therefore, if the application generates a large number of emails, the system would create one email per minute which could create a large backlog that would need time to clear.
Resolution
CAUTION: Care must be taken when reducing the value of this setting. The reason the default setting is 60 seconds between each email sent is to avoid large volumes of emails being marked as spam by the receiving. email server. Therefore, reducing this setting will depend on the configuration of the organization’s email server which may be configured to cut off incoming mail if it exceeds certain rates. This setting must be configured in accordance with that restriction.
