Issue
With the Intel appliance, these are really Baseboard Management Controllers (BMC) for the Remote Management Module (RMM4). While not supported by RSA because it was not QA tested, ILOM/BMC is now standard on newer Intel RSA SecurID appliance models. Older Dell versions of the SecurID appliance had the Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC), which also was not supported by RSA.
This article is a simple example of setting up BMC remote console access.
You will need physical access to the Intel appliance to connect a monitor and keyboard.
Tasks
New Authentication Manager 8.1 administrators should also consider enabling SSH access to eth0 in the Authentication Manager Operations Console (that is, https://<fully_qualified_domain_name_of server:7072/operations-console) under Administration > Operating System Access.
As part of this process you will:
- Reboot the Intel-based RSA SecurID Appliance with a monitor and keyboard physically attached so you can interrupt the boot process and access the BIOS.
- Edit the BIOS to configure an IP address for the RMM4, using a static IP address or one provided by DHCP.
- Create a user ID and password.
- Open a browser and go to https://<IP_address_defined_above>.
- Use the RMM4/BMC user ID and password from step 3 to logon to the console to configure.

Section 5 explains browser considerations for using the BMC Web Console. Section 5.2 shows how to login to https://<IP_address>.
