While installing RSA Federated Identity Manager (FIM) 2.6, installer program hangs displaying "executing server814_linux32.bin" and the installation does not proceed

Insufficient system requirements to complete installation
Resolution
Page 17 of the RSA Federated Identity Manager (FIM) 2.6 Planning and Installation Guide indicates the minimum installation requirements are 1 GB free disk space and 1 GB RAM, and for a production environment, 1 GB free disk space, and 2 GB RAM. On Linux machines, the /tmp partition requires at least 2 GB free disk space, and on Solaris machines, the /var/tmp partition requires at least 2 GB free disk space.
