Migrating from WebSphere to Wildfly application server
Hello,

does anyone experience or supported RSA IGL application server migration from
Webpshere to wildfly? I am looking for ideas on what you all think could be
best possible option with less impact to existing setup. does this migration
also involved changes on database, as few tables hold configuration for app-
servers (if i am not wrong)? This is thread for sharing your experience and
thoughts on application server migration. so anything you can add would be
helpful for entire community.

Thank you!

  • There is no supported upgrade[sic] from one platform to another so any
migration leverages a fresh installation. So you will be doing a database
export and import into a new existing instance. Our installation guide walks
through how to setup a new database instance with the required schema updates.
Since this is a new install there should be little impact on your existing
    setup.

I am not aware of any application server dependencies that we store in the
database. The database is pretty much agnostic to what application server is
    in use.

You are still going to have to handle infrastructure components such as load
    balancer specific configurations yourself.

Note that to facilitate upgrades the current versions of the product now store
a lot of installation specific information in the database such as server
certificates, certificate trust lists and remote agent and remote AFX
configurations although if you currently are on an older version you may not
    benefit from this.
