"Access Denied" error when attempting to view detailed information on the RSA Via Lifecycle and Governance Users page

Issue
The RSA Via Lifecycle and Governance Users page lists the users and optionally, additional columns about the users relationship with other users such as their Supervisor, Admin or Technical Adviser.  When hovering over the user name in the columns for those users, there is an information icon indicated by a small "i" icon that may be used to display additional information about that user in a popup dialog box.

For users that have the Aveksa Application Entitlement Users: View All privilege, an Access Denied message is displayed indicating that the user has insufficient privileges to view this page.

Cause
This issue was introduced into RSA Identity Management and Governance 6.8.1 P23,  6.9.1 P2, and Via Lifecycle and Governance 7.0 P02.   Administrators with Users: View All privilege should be able to access this information.
Resolution
This issue is resolved in the following patches:
  • RSA Identity Management and Governance 6.8.1 P24 or later,
  • RSA Identity Management and Governance 6.9.1 P14 or later, and
  • RSA Via Lifecycle and Governance 7.0 P03 or later

 

Workaround
The details for related users may still be viewed by viewing those users directly from the Users page.
